Не могу найти синоним к слову логирование?
Собственно, помогите объяснится с людьми, не знакомыми со словом ‘логирование’.
Хотелось бы найти меткое слово, не предложение и не набор слов, а одно-единственное слово,
которое одинаково хорошо звучало бы как на русском языке, так и в английском переводе!
В дальнейшем, должен быть одноименный метод:write_log("Application started")

Протоколирование вполне подоходит.
Стенографирование, событеписание, чтогдекогдазапоминание…
Журналирование, протоколирование, летопись, но не надо изобретать велосипед, что есть лог, должно быть логированием. Незнание этого слова не должно является причиной его замены.
Я не смог одно слово подобрать,
наиболее точно было бы «журнал событий» но это два слова. Просто «журнал» — не совсем подходит.
Хотя — журнал, тоже не русское слово.
В целом вполне подходит слова журнал и протокол, просто нужно учитывать при переводе на английский, что будет именно log, а не journal.
Журналирование. Но слово слишком длинное, не всегда в текстах применимо.
