Altruism has been defined as «A disposition to do good without expecting anything in return.» It is often confused with selfless or unselfish love but True altruism is much more than that. There are different types of altruism: transactional, transformational, and finally, systemic. Transactionally altruism is the most common type where one person does something good in expectation of something good coming back in return. Transformational altruism is more about doing good for the good of others, without any expectations of return. Systemic altruism goes beyond transactionally and transformational altruism and is about seeing the world from a lens of interconnectedness.
